The Shedrick Garden Shed is a sturdy pressure treated structure, which is low maintenance and will provide a fantastic space to store all the garden tools, bikes or garden furniture. It is also full pressure treated against rot and insect infestation on all timbers, meaning also that there is no need to spend hours painting it. It is also easy to build thanks to the ingenious panel construction, consisting in heavy duty 15mm shiplap timber on a 35mm x 35mm sub frame, making it robust and durable.
4mm Toughened GlassWe use 4mm thick toughened glass, not Perspex or Styrene which can scratch easily and cloud up over time. This is also thicker and less likely to break when hit with the neighbour’s pesky football compared to the industry standard of 3mm horticultural glass.
Secure Hinges and HaspThe construction of this Bike Shed helps to keep safe bikes or other treasured equipment. The sturdy hasp and clasp that holds the padlock are designed so that in the closed position, its fixing screws are covered by the metal clasp, making it difficult to remove from the timber. Similarly, the hinges are bolted in position and difficult to remove when the door is in the closed position.
15mm Shiplap CladdingShiplap cladding is named after the old boatmaking technique where the boards overlap. This means that the natural timber can expand and contract with the seasons and not create gaps. The curve or channel of shiplap cladding enables water to run off easily.
