Pressure treated floor bearers
By pressure treating our floor bearers, we protect the lowest part of the building from rot and insect infestation. This forces the treatment deep into the timber using a large pressure treatment tank. It is costly but effective process that ensures years of protection against rot and insect infestation on the bearers with no need for the customer to re-treat this timber at any point during that time.
Fully pressure treated
Our range is fully pressure treated as standard. We take the pre-cut lengths of spruce and place them in a large pressure treatment tank, where the timbers are impregnated with a non-toxic preservative. We add a brown colourant during this process, giving the timber a rich brown colour. This treatment prevents the timber from rot, decay and insect infestation for years to come.
Extra Strong Posts
We use slow grown spruce less likely to shrink, warp or split. We only select slowly grown timber from colder climates, which helps keep the timber more stable as the rings are densely packed.
Easy to Assemble Panel Roof
Our solid wood roof is made out of sturdy 15mm ready-assembled shiplap timber panels. With this system the construction time is shortened and the build up process becomes easier.
